New campaign for self-watering raised planters by Ergrownomics

We are thrilled to have started a new PR campaign for stylish, self-watering raised planters by Ergrownomics. Created by a Soil Scientist and his son in Herefordshire, this new startup is making it easy to grow your own at home.

The planters have already proved to be a big hit with the media attracting interest from Gardens Illustrated, Press Association and BBC Gardener’s World. As well as targeting high-profile review spots, we will be working to profile the founder as a nutritional gardener and grow your own expert, placing advice articles and tips across the consumer media.

New PR campaign for Nanogirl™ STEM Adventures – a fun-filled science lesson every weekday

We are thrilled to be kicking off our new campaign for Nanogirl™ STEM Adventures – helping children to learn Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics skills at home.

Millions of children are currently at home due to the COVID-19 crisis and unfortunately, when it comes to home-schooling, STEM skills are usually the first to go. Nanogirl’s Lab are providing experiments to keep children learning with fun-filled science experiments - including building your own harmonica, seeing the world upside down by making a pinhole camera, and learning about COVID-19 by creating a virus fighting super soap.

We worked with one of the founders, Dr Michelle Dickinson last year to promote her bestselling book The Kitchen Science Cookbook. The campaign was a huge hit with coverage in Blue Peter, Sunday Mirror, BBC Radio 4 and more.

New start-up, Grass People Tree are helping us to rediscover our love for tea at its roots. Their tea is sustainably foraged from wild tea trees in the mountains of the Guizhou Provence in Southwest China. Some of the trees are over a thousand years old, in primeval forests which are nearly inaccessible to mankind.

All the tea is picked by local tribes, supporting their ancient traditions of tea making without industrial processes or the need for chemicals. The care taken yields amazing health benefits with the tea being packed with anti-oxidants they can aid digestion and even boost the immune system.

We are excited to be working with such an exciting new business and look forward to sharing the story of these amazing teas. The Pearly White Club has created a subscription service which aims to make sustainable living convenient. Their eco-friendly toothbrush handles are made from bamboo, meaning the handles are completely compostable once the bristles are removed! The bristles on the Pearly White Brushes are made from Nylon 6, which is BPA free, decomposes faster than other nylons and is the most effective material for keeping your teeth clean. It also means the toothbrush is 100% vegan-friendly (unlike the boar hair alternatives)!

The company was founded by the first female homeopath of Saudi Arabia – Dr. Samira Zaidan. Whatsinit? campaign closes with an amazing 63 pieces of coverage!

Our latest campaign has just come to an end, and the team are very happy with the results. We really enjoyed managing the publicity for Whatsinit?, an app which allows you to see exactly what your food contains with the click of a button.

We worked on the campaign for three months and managed to achieve 63 pieces of coverage so far, which has included being featured on BBC Radio Five Live, numerous BBC Radio programmes, Huffington Post, Woman & Home, The Evening Standard, Woman and Men’s Running.

The founder, Temi Alanamu said - “The Startup PR launch campaign exceeded my expectations. Within the first few weeks, I’d been interviewed on BBC 5 Live and 10 other BBC radio stations. Over the three month campaign, the Smart Cara has been featured in some of the top consumer and lifestyle magazines, such as Grand Designs, Ideal Home, Your Home, Daily Express, Woman’s Weekly and Chat Magazine as well as a number of ‘eco’ blogs and websites.

Smart Cara is a stylish counter-top appliance that transforms even the smelliest banana skins, coffee grounds and fish heads into a neat, odourless powder at the touch of a button. By removing all moisture and pulverising food waste, Smart Cara reduces leftovers to just 10% of their original volume and decreases annual carbon emissions by 425kg per household – equivalent to the effect of planting three trees. Our campaign focussed around generating reviews and competitions in the high profile lifestyle and home media as well as amongst eco influencers.

It has been a brilliant campaign to work on, working with such a unique product presented us with an opportunity to explore different media and expand our own contacts. We wish the Smart Cara team the best of luck for the future – a future which is eco!
